Burnedette aka Birdie is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and Welsh Corgi mix. I was alerted to her by the the Sidney NE Code Enforcement Officer who also told me that the vet which Sidney uses for their impound told her that they believed that the dog was so aggressive the recommend she be euthanized. Knowing this vet, and my complete LACK of trust in this vet staff I immediately went to meet this dog. I didn't find a single aggressive bone in her body. She was scared, frankly I would have been scared too! Birdie is a fantastic dog. She takes a little while to warm up to people, however she does warm up and when she does she's so worth the extra effort. She's so very very loyal, gives the best most delicate kisses. We say no cats because she chases cats, however when you say "NO" she stops immediately. She's potty trained, she knows "sit" and "laydown." She gets along well with other dogs, and loves cuddles. She's really an amazing dog. She will need room to run, so a FENCED in yard of a pretty good size is a must have, She loves to fetch balls and go on long walks. She does have food aggression with other dogs, however we are working on it. This is pretty much her only flaw.
